Our client provides engineering solutions for highway, drainage and utility related schemes. Their involvement starts at the beginning of the development process and carries through to completion. They are involved in all aspects, including planning reports, flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and highway feasibility studies. They are currently seeking an Associate Director and they offer a fully remote role so you can focus on your work/life balance. Salary on offer £60,000-£65,000 plus benefits.
About you:
- Degree in civil engineering
- At least 7 years’ relevant experience within a UK consultancy
- Strong technical ability
- Able to mentor and support more junior team members
- Strong communication skills
- Business development ability
Key Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of compliant surface water and sustainable urban drainage strategy reports to support planning applications.
- Preparation of compliant flood risk assessment reports to support planning applications.
- Preparation of compliant private and adoptable (S104 of the Water Industry Act 1991) drainage designs for technical approval and construction.
- Preparation of compliant private and adoptable (S38 / S278 of the Highways Act 1980) highway designs for technical approval and construction.
- Undertake dialogue, correspondence, and negotiation with relevant third-party stakeholders (such as the Lead Local Flood Authority, Highway Departments, Environment Agency, Internal Drainage Boards, Statutory Undertakers, and the like) in relation to obtaining drainage and highway consents and approvals.
- Undertake Autocad and 3D drafting / modelling in relation to highway and drainage projects in an efficient and timely manner.
- Attending site and design team meetings as necessary to support projects.
- Obtaining third-party quotations, advice, and input as necessary to support projects.
- Preparation of fee proposals / tenders to support the acquisition of new work.
- Undertake business development as necessary to support and acquire new business relationships.
