Partnered with my client who are a Developer based in Cornwall and looking for a Senior Technologist/Technician as their technical team develops further in their Architectural offering. This is a genuine route out of traditional practice and into the Developer side of the business, ideal for an experienced Technician or Technologist, or Architect ready to broaden their scope beyond pure design and into the commercial realities of a development focussed practice.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the production of feasibility layouts, house types, and standard design details
- Preparing and coordinating drawings and documentation for planning and building control submissions, including liaison with relevant authorities
- Managing site queries and RFIs
- Coordinating consultant information and reviewing manufacturer/subcontractor details
- Overseeing project documentation and drawing registers
- Reviewing utilities and infrastructure, and obtaining quotes for new connections/services
- Providing quantity information for tender purposes
- Reviewing interior specifications and product selections
- Assessing potential development sites
What you'll bring:
- Architectural Technology degree or equivalent senior technical experience
- Strong CAD skills; Archicad and/or 3D modelling experience advantageous
- CIAT Chartership – Desirable
- A track record producing planning and building control drawings
- A portfolio demonstrating technical drawing and information coordination
- Confidence reviewing and challenging consultant/stakeholder information
- Strong communication skills across multiple stakeholders
