This is a great opportunity for an Architectural Technician with around 2–5 years’ experience in architectural practice who is looking to take the next step in their career within a friendly, design-focused environment. The practice works across a varied portfolio of commercial and residential projects, giving you the opportunity to gain experience across a range of project types and RIBA work stages. You’ll be joining a team where technical quality, good design and practical project delivery are all important. The Role As an Architectural Technician, you will be involved in the production and development of architectural information across a variety of residential and commercial projects. Your responsibilities will include: Producing detailed architectural drawings and technical information Developing projects from planning through to technical design and construction Working alongside Architects and other members of the design team Assisting with Building Regulations and technical compliance Producing accurate and coordinated drawing packages Liaising with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders where required Contributing to projects across different sectors and stages of the design process About You The ideal candidate will have: Around 2–5 years’ experience working within an architectural practice Experience working as an Architectural Technician / Technologist Good technical knowledge and an understanding of the UK construction industry Experience producing technical drawings and detailed architectural information A good understanding of Building Regulations and construction detailing Good communication and organisational skills A proactive attitude and willingness to take responsibility for your work Experience within residential and/or commercial projects would be particularly relevant The practice uses ArchiCAD as its primary software, so previous ArchiCAD experience would be advantageous. However, training can be provided for the right candidate, so strong technical ability and relevant architectural experience are more important than knowing the software already. What’s on Offer?
