Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Newcastle

Salary: £50K-£55K plus benefits

Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a network of national offices. Their Newcastle office has been particularly successful recently, with a number of project wins. As a result, they are looking to hire a senior structural engineer to help with project delivery.

Projects include: residential, retail, commercial, and many more.

About you:

  1. Degree in Structural Engineering
  2. Chartered or close to
  3. At least 5 years' experience within a UK consultancy
  4. Experience at senior engineer level where you have been the technical lead on projects
  5. Fully conversant with the use of Eurocodes and structural analysis design software
  6. Design experience in all traditional forms of building structures

The role includes:

  1. Analysis and design using Tekla
  2. Structural assessment and inspection of new and existing structures in all materials
  3. Oversee technical output ensuring work is of the highest standard
  4. Good communication skills are vital to produce technical reports including structural surveys
