Conrad Consulting is partnering with a leading international consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join their growing Project Controls and Risk team. This is an excellent opportunity for an established risk professional to work on some of the UK's most significant infrastructure, transportation, construction, and capital investment programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering best-practice risk management services across complex projects, working closely with clients, project teams, and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of project and programme risk management frameworks.
- Facilitate risk identification, assessment, and mitigation workshops with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee project and programme risk registers, ensuring risks are appropriately identified, assessed, and monitored.
- Deliver qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulations and schedule risk assessments where required.
- Provide clear and insightful reporting on risk exposure, trends, and key risk indicators to senior management and clients.
- Support project controls and governance processes, ensuring risk management is integrated into decision-making.
- Mentor and support junior team members while contributing to the continued growth of the risk management capability.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in project or programme risk management.
- Strong experience managing risk across complex infrastructure, construction, transportation, energy, defence, or major capital projects.
- Proven expertise in facilitating risk workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Experience undertaking and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative risk analysis.
- Strong understanding of project controls, governance, and assurance processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
- Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant professional certifications would be advantageous.
