An established construction and infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced QS to work across large-scale infrastructure and capital delivery projects within sectors including utilities, energy, transport and civil engineering. The company continues to secure major long-term programmes nationally and offers strong career development, flexible working and exposure to high-profile projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing commercial and cost activities across live infrastructure projects
  • Preparing and managing budgets, cost reporting and financial forecasting
  • Supporting contract administration and change management processes
  • Assisting with procurement activities and contractor management
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks across project delivery
  • Working closely with clients, contractors and wider project teams
  • Contributing to the successful delivery of complex capital programmes

Requirements:

  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience within infrastructure or heavy civil engineering
  • Good understanding of NEC forms of contract
  • Experience working on utilities, transport, energy or major project environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Degree-qualified within Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Chartership or working towards professional accreditation desirable
