The Role: Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment Take full responsibility for the delivery of multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards Act as the main point of contact for clients, leading project meetings, and developing and maintaining strong client relationships Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial control and profitability, and providing regular updates on project status to senior management Manage the growth of the civil engineering team, including recruitment, mentoring, and professional development of staff Drive business development initiatives, including identifying opportunities for new projects and building a pipeline of work Provide technical leadership in the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions, utilising your expertise across a wide range of sectors Lead by example in client-facing situations, with the ability to effectively manage expectations and deliver successful outcomes About you: Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE) with at least 15 years of experience in civil engineering development Proven experience in managing a team of engineers, with a strong background in leadership, staff development, and performance management Significant client-facing experience with a focus on client management, developing long-term relationships, and business growth Strong technical expertise in civil engineering design and project delivery, with experience across multiple sectors (e.g., residential, commercial, infrastructure) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with clients, team members, and senior management at all levels A proactive approach to business development and the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities Be part of an established consultancy, where you will lead and develop a talented team of engineers and strive to continue the first-class reputation they have within the industry.
