Conrad Consulting are working with a well-established, design-led architectural consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to support a growing workload across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role is ideally suited to a technically strong professional seeking a remote-first position, with flexibility to engage on either a permanent or contract basis.

The Role
As a Senior Architectural Technician, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects from concept through to completion. You’ll be trusted to work independently, manage your own workload, and contribute to the coordination and production of high-quality technical information across all RIBA stages.
This is a remote-based role initially due to the studio re-locating from Leeds to the York area within the next 6 months, therefor theres minimal requirement for office attendance now or in the future if that works for the individual, making it ideal for candidates seeking flexibility while remaining fully involved in live projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical delivery of architectural projects across multiple sectors
Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawings and construction packages
Prepare high-quality information suitable for planning, tender, and construction
Ensure full compliance with UK Building Regulations and industry standards
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and wider design teams
Support projects through all relevant RIBA stages
Review and maintain technical accuracy across project documentation
Manage deadlines effectively and work autonomously with minimal supervision
Requirements
Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
5+ years’ UK-based experience in an architectural or design consultancy environment
Proven experience operating at Senior Technician level
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (SketchUp beneficial)
Working knowledge of Photoshop and Microsoft Excel
Excellent technical detailing skills and strong construction knowledge
Thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations
Confident communicator with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
Self-motivated, organised, and proactive approach to project delivery
