Job Description

A well-established, award-winning medium sized regional Architectural Practice is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident, well-organised Recently qualified Architect to join their Leeds City Centre studio located on Wellington Street, Leeds.\\n\\nThe successful Architect will assist in the continued growth and profitability of the Practice who employ 60+ staff across five national offices. The team and practice have been accredited to an Investors in People (IIP) Gold standard, rated as the second-highest scoring architecture practice on the IIP international database. They pride themselves on their commitment to Sustainability Health and Wellbeing, both in design and creating a healthy environment within which to work, they are testament to offering their people a great work and life balance.\\n\\nThey also have a truly varied and diverse portfolio of project work that is both challenging and design focussed, typically our client are known historically for their work in the Education sector, more recently they have successfully diversified into Commercial & Industrial, Healthcare, Leisure & Arts, Residential and Sports / recreational spaces.

Current projects on the drawing board for spring / summer 2023 include a £23m Bioeconomy institute for a well-known university, an indoor Air Quality research centre and a hostel refurbishment/\\n\\nRole & Responsibilities of the Architect.\\n\\nSupporting the day-to-day delivery of projects, working in collaboration with the team. You must therefore be able to demonstrate strong capabilities across RIBA stages 0-7.\\nProduction of planning and construction drawing packages – drawings, schedules, and specifications.\\nLiaising with clients, contractors, consultants, local planning authorities and building control.\\nCoordinating work by external consultants and internally with the rest of the team.\\nWorking within project teams and independently, where required.Qualifications and Experience for the Architect \\n\\nChartered Recently qualified Architect (ARB registered)\\nMinimum of 1 year post qualification fully qualified experience.\\nKeen to work on projects from inception to completion (RIBA stages 0-7)\\nExperience in preparing planning and working drawing construction packages and good knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policy and quality standards.\\nProven design capability, creativity and problem-solving skills.\\nStrong communication and project management skills.\\nThe majority of our projects are delivered in REVIT therefore knowledge and experience would be advantageous.What is on Offer for the Architect:\\n\\nThe chance to work at a national Practice, with an exciting and diverse range of projects in different sectors.\\nOpportunities for advancement to Project Architect / Senior Architect level.\\nAgile working hours, a practice with a refreshing approach to a healthy work-life balance.\\nEstablished Home Working Policy.\\nRewards and incentives.\\nRegular functions and events.\\nFriendly and inclusive working environment.\\nTraining and development opportunities.\\nFinancially sound practice with a model allowing for CPD.Salary depending on experience and negotiable for the right candidate is in the region of £32,000 -£37,000 per annum plus a very generous benefits package.\\n\\nInterested parties please hit apply or call James Jackson at Conrad consulting for further information
