Reading outskirts £37k-£42k plus benefits. Our client has a long-standing presence in the south of England and their Berkshire office is looking to bring in a structural engineer who has at least 3 years post-graduate experience. Great opportunity for a driven and practical engineer to deliver a wide variety of building structures projects from domestic extensions through to much larger schemes. Working closely with clients and external parties, you will take on responsibility for detailed design, calculations and inspections with a strong focus on high-quality design.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- At least 3 years' post-graduate UK experience in a similar consultancy environment
- Proven experience in building structures design
- Comfortable working independently on small to medium-sized schemes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g., TEDDS, Tekla, or similar)
- Working towards Chartered status with the IStructE or ICE (desirable)
