An established cost consultancy is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its Oxford office, supporting the delivery of a diverse pipeline of high-value projects across the retail, commercial, infrastructure, and residential sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost plans, tender documentation, and contract administration.
- Manage project budgets, undertake cost control and forecasting activities.
- Support contract negotiations and procurement processes with contractors and suppliers.
- Prepare interim valuations, assess variations, and contribute to final accounts.
- Work closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure commercial performance.
- Monitor project risks and assist in value engineering exercises.
- Ensure compliance with legal and contractual frameworks (JCT).
- Support the mentoring of junior team members where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For:
- BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Around 3-5 years' post-graduate experience in cost consultancy or client-side environment.
- Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial reporting.
- Comfortable working across multiple sectors in both pre- and post-contract stages.
- Proficiency in MS Office and cost management tools.
