This Assistant Quantity Surveyor role is ideal for someone looking to develop their commercial career while working alongside experienced commercial professionals on a wide range of projects.
The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial team with the day-to-day financial management of projects, gaining valuable experience across all aspects of quantity surveying.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the commercial management of civil engineering projects.
- Prepare valuations, cost reports and financial forecasts.
- Support subcontract procurement and tender evaluations.
- Assist in measuring works and preparing payment applications.
- Monitor project costs and maintain commercial records.
- Support the preparation of variations and final accounts.
- Liaise with site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist with contract administration.
- Help identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor with project reporting.
- Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Graduate Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering.
- HNC, HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
