Conrad Consulting is recruiting for an experienced Associate Building Surveyor to join a successful property consultancy in Bedfordshire. This is a highly project-focused role offering the opportunity to take a senior position within the Building Surveying team and lead the delivery of a varied portfolio of refurbishment, alteration and maintenance projects. You will have responsibility for projects from inception through to completion, including: Project management of major refurbishment and alteration schemes Contract administration Preparation of specifications and tender documentation Procurement and tender analysis Project monitoring and site inspections Contractor and consultant management Defect diagnosis and remedial works Planned maintenance and major repair programmes Technical due diligence Building surveys and condition assessments Project reporting and financial monitoring Client relationship management Business development and winning new instructions Mentoring and developing junior surveyors The position will suit an MRICS Building Surveyor who is commercially minded and enjoys the delivery and management of projects rather than a predominantly professional surveying role. The ideal candidate MRICS qualified Strong project-focused Building Surveying background Consultancy experience Proven track record managing projects from inception to completion Strong contract administration and JCT knowledge Excellent technical and specification-writing skills Confident managing clients, contractors and consultants Commercially aware with leadership and business development experience This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor ready to progress into an Associate role, or an existing Associate looking for a broader leadership position
