We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join an established contractor delivering a range of civil engineering, utilities and infrastructure projects across Central England. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager looking to join a growing business where they can take ownership of projects, lead site teams and play a key role in the successful delivery of high-quality works.
The Role
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
- Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered successfully from mobilisation through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Leading site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Reviewing RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are implemented.
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
- Monitoring progress against programme and reporting any issues or delays.
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team.
- Maintaining accurate site records, diaries and progress reports.
- Liaising with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders.
- Ensuring works are completed to the required specifications and quality standards.
- Identifying and resolving issues on site in a proactive manner.
About You
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
- A strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
- SMSTS qualification.
- CSCS qualification.
- First Aid qualification.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- A positive, professional approach with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and project teams.
- Experience within water, utilities, energy or wider civil engineering infrastructure would be advantageous.
