Conrad Consulting are recruiting on behalf of a long established Chartered RIBA and CIAT architectural practice based in South Manchester. With a diverse client base spanning multiple sectors, the studio is known for its strong design culture and commitment to supporting their long‑standing client base.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, the practice is looking to appoint an experienced professional with exceptional knowledge of UK Building Regulations and the capability to work confidently on RIBA Stage 4 & 5 technical packages across Residential, Retail & Commercial sectors. This role also includes undertaking responsibilities as Principal Designer under the Building Safety Act with CIAT accreditation in both fields considered a significant advantage.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Producing and coordinating technical drawing packages for RIBA Stages 4 & 5
  • Working independently and collaboratively within a multi disciplinary team
  • Acting as PD BSA, ensuring compliance, safety, and robust design governance
  • Attending site visits, external meetings, and client presentations
  • Leading design teams and representing the practice with confidence and professionalism

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years experience working within a UK architectural practice
  • Outstanding understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit ideally both
  • Experience delivering technical packages in residential and retail sectors
  • Ability to manage clients, coordinate consultants, and run design teams
  • CIAT accreditation and PD BSA experience highly desirable
