Architectural Technologist required to join a busy Manchester city centre practice in an attractive, sought-after role that will offer the opportunity to join a stable, well-run company. Owing to a busy start to the year, they are looking to recruit for several new Technical roles. There are opportunities for intermediate and more senior-level Technologist candidates.

The practice works across a wide range of project types and sectors, including Retail, Commercial, Education, and several others. They have always had a presence in the Residential sector too, and their current project work has more of a Commercial & Retail sector focus. They have various large clients across the breadth of the UK that they continue to support on their new schemes. Ideally, we would like to see applications from those that have experience working on Commercial sector projects.

The daily responsibilities of the Architectural Technologist will include:

  • Gather and analyse survey, site, and technical data to inform design development.
  • Identify design challenges, research solutions, and provide clear technical guidance.
  • Coordinate design work, reviewing drawings from consultants and subcontractors.
  • Produce technical documentation for tenders and Building Control submissions.
  • Prepare construction information including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Apply strong knowledge of UK planning, Building Regulations, CDM, and related legislation.
