Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for a role where technical expertise, leadership and major infrastructure projects come together? Our client is seeking a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join a talented multidisciplinary team delivering complex and innovative projects across the UK and internationally. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role on major programmes spanning sectors including energy, defence, infrastructure and land development.
The successful candidate will coordinate and manage civil engineering design delivery on complex multidisciplinary projects, covering areas such as drainage, utilities, pavements, earthworks, access and construction logistics. The role will also involve producing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, drawings and calculations, providing technical input throughout the project lifecycle and supporting bids and proposals.
As a senior member of the team, you will also provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior colleagues, help develop the local civil engineering capability and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, integrated design solutions.
Candidates should hold a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and be Chartered or Incorporated. Strong consultancy experience within a multidisciplinary design environment is essential, together with practical knowledge of external works, current design standards, CDM and industry best practice. Experience with Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage and Civil 3D would be advantageous. Background in the energy or defence sectors would also be beneficial, although not essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong and ambitious Principal Civil Engineer to work on high-profile projects while taking on genuine leadership, mentoring and project delivery responsibility. Hybrid working is available, with approximately three days per week office/site based.
