Gang Civils Lead – Housing Infrastructure Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Gang Civils Lead to join our growing team delivering residential housing infrastructure projects across East Lothian. The successful Gang Civils Lead will be responsible for supervising a small civils gang, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while maintaining programme deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Gang Civils Lead looking to work on long-term housing developments with a well-established civil engineering contractor. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a civils gang on housing infrastructure projects. Organise daily site activities and allocate work efficiently. Carry out drainage, roads, foundations, kerbing, ducting and plot works. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations. Liaise with Site Managers and Engineers to ensure programme targets are achieved. Complete daily site records and report progress. Monitor quality standards and rectify any defects. Coordinate plant, materials and labour requirements. Mentor and support operatives within the gang. Maintain excellent housekeeping across the site. Requirements Previous experience as a Gang Civils Lead within civil engineering or groundworks. Strong background delivering residential housing infrastructure projects. Experience with roads, sewers, drainage and external works. SSSTS or SMSTS preferred. CPCS/NPORS plant tickets advantageous. Valid CSCS Card. Full UK Driving Licence.
