An opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing consultancy in Newcastle. You'll be joining an established team delivering a broad mix of education and public sector projects, taking the lead on commercial matters while supporting junior members of the team.
The role:
- Managing projects from a commercial perspective through all project stages
- Producing and reviewing cost plans
- Running procurement exercises and preparing tender documentation
- Administering NEC and JCT contracts
- Managing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Acting as the main commercial contact for clients
- Supporting and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors
About you:
- Previous Quantity Surveying experience within a consultancy is preferred, although contractor experience will also be considered
- Experience working on education or public sector projects would be beneficial
- DfE project experience is an advantage but not essential
- Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
- Able to build strong relationships with clients and project teams
