A well-established engineering consultancy in Derby is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing team. The role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects including residential, education and leisure developments.
The successful candidate will be involved in the full project lifecycle, from concept through to completion, providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary design team. The position also includes responding to site queries, attending site visits and undertaking technical design reviews.
Candidates should hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) and have typically six to eight or more years' experience in structural engineering. Chartered status with the ICE or IStructE, or working towards chartership, is desirable. Strong experience with building structures, excellent communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach are essential.
