Our client is looking to recruit an ambitious design engineer to join their expanding engineering team and contribute to the successful delivery of projects across the power, infrastructure, transport, energy and building sectors.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a graduate or early-career engineer who is keen to develop their technical expertise within a dynamic consultancy environment. Working alongside experienced engineers and industry professionals, the successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad variety of projects while building practical design experience and developing a strong understanding of engineering best practice.

The role will involve supporting the production of engineering designs, calculations, technical drawings and project documentation, while assisting senior engineers with the coordination and delivery of multidisciplinary schemes. Candidates will also have the opportunity to become involved in BIM and digital engineering processes, attend project meetings and support site inspections and surveys where required.

The ideal applicant will hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and possess a solid understanding of engineering principles along with a keen interest in developing a career within consultancy. Familiarity with software packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla or Civil 3D would be advantageous, although additional training and support will be provided. Strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach are all essential.

Our client is particularly interested in individuals who are motivated to continue learning and progressing professionally, including working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status. Previous placement or internship experience within an engineering consultancy would be beneficial, alongside an appreciation for current design standards, health and safety considerations and quality-led project delivery.
