Our client, a long-established civil and structural engineering practice, is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their team on the outskirts of Epsom. This is an opportunity to step into a varied, impactful role within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
You will work on structural design calculations and drawings for projects up to £5m, bringing confidence and technical skill to every stage of delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing work produced by others
- Managing projects
- Maintaining strong communication with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders
- Site supervision and inspection covering all traditional structural materials
- Assessing and specifying repairs for damaged structures, including those affected by subsidence, fire, vehicle impact and other failures
- Carrying out on-site structural inspections and diagnosing causes of distress
- Producing clear, detailed reports
Your experience should include assessing issues such as roof spread, overloading, explosion damage and problems relating to deleterious materials. You will hold a structural engineering degree, be enthusiastic about progressing toward Chartered MIStructE status, and possess a full UK driving licence for site visits.
