Drainage Engineer Leicester Β£36k-Β£42k plus benefits We are working with a Leicester company who are looking to expand the team by recruiting a Civil Engineer. They need a multi-disciplined individual able to undertake design work and coordinate with third parties such as clients, contractors and Local Authorities. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years\β experience in the design of infrastructure related projects consisting of highways, drainage, earthworks and have current working knowledge of the use of Civils 3D, CAD, and drainage design software. The team delivers a wide variety of consultancy services to a large client base, both local and national. The Transport & Infrastructure business are responsible for providing several engineering services across multiple sectors, at all stages of our client\βs project, from inception through to commissioning. You will be Working on challenging and multiple projects simultaneously and will undertake preliminary and detailed design of roads, levels, drainage, and external works in both the public (adoptable) and private realm. Requirements: Undertake design for infrastructure projects, including 3D surface modelling and hydraulic drainage design. Represent at client, contractor, and local authority meetings. Knowledge of design and approvals for S278 and S38 highway schemes with design capability when supervised by senior staff. Knowledge of design and approvals of S104, S106 and S185 drainage schemes, including awareness of current drainage legislation and sustainable drainage practice. Knowledge and awareness of the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments. Knowledge of working with Civils 3D, AutoCAD, and drainage modelling software such as FLOW or Micro drainage.
