We are currently recruiting for an experienced Structural Technician to join a busy engineering consultancy in Derby on an urgent long-term contract. Working as part of an established design team, you will play a key role in producing high-quality structural drawings and technical detailing for complex building projects.
As a Structural Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Producing accurate structural drawings and detailing using AutoCAD
- Supporting the delivery of major construction projects valued at over £20 million
- Preparing drawings in line with current industry standards and BIM Level 2 requirements where applicable
- Working with a variety of structural materials including steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry
- Liaising closely with structural engineers and other design team members to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and accurately
- Assisting with project delivery from concept through to construction
To be considered, you should have:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong technical detailing skills and a good understanding of structural construction
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment
