Conrad Consulting is recruiting for a visionary and experienced Associate Architect to join a thriving, design-led multidisciplinary practice based in Coventry. About the Role

As Associate Architect, you’ll play a key role in steering the architectural output of the practice. You’ll lead project teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to strategic planning alongside senior leadership. The role spans low-rise housing, high-density apartment schemes, and mixed-use developments, with a strong focus on urban regeneration and masterplanning. This is a delivery led, and highly technical position. Latter RIBA stage experience is therefore highly essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and technical delivery of residential and mixed-use projects
  • Oversee masterplanning and regeneration schemes from concept to implementation
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams across architecture, planning, and urban design
  • Act as a primary client liaison, presenting proposals and managing expectations
  • Mentor junior architects and technologists, fostering a culture of growth and excellence
  • Contribute to business development, fee proposals, and strategic direction

Required Skills & Experience

  • ARB-registered Architect with 10+ years post-qualification experience
  • Proven track record in delivering residential architecture projects
  • Strong portfolio of masterplanning and regeneration work
  • Experience managing teams and coordinating with external consultants
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Proficiency in design and BIM software – Revit preferred
