Commissioning Manager – Glasgow Location: Glasgow, Scotland Job Type: Permanent A leading engineering and infrastructure business is looking to appoint an experienced Commissioning Manager to join their team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commissioning professional to take responsibility for the successful delivery, testing and handover of complex engineering and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will oversee commissioning activities from planning and preparation through to testing, completion and final handover, working closely with project teams, site teams, subcontractors, clients and other key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage commissioning activities across multiple projects. Develop and implement commissioning strategies, plans and programmes. Coordinate commissioning, testing and handover activities with project and site teams. Ensure systems and equipment are installed, tested and commissioned in accordance with project requirements. Manage commissioning documentation, records, certificates and handover packs. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and specialist commissioning teams. Identify and resolve commissioning issues and technical challenges. Ensure all commissioning activities are completed safely and in line with relevant standards and procedures. Work closely with clients and stakeholders throughout the commissioning and handover process. Monitor progress against commissioning programmes and provide regular updates to senior management. Support the project team through completion, snagging and final handover. Requirements: Proven experience working in a Commissioning Manager or senior commissioning position. Strong background within engineering, civils, utilities or infrastructure projects. Experience managing commissioning activities from installation through to final handover. Strong understanding of testing, inspection and commissioning processes. Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple stakeholders. Strong organisational and communication skills. Good understanding of health and safety requirements. Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
