Fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Architect to join a thriving AJ100 studio in Manchester as they continue to bolster their design teams with exceptional talent, to work on a wide range of project types. Initially, this role will be working on Leisure-sector projects. Our client is one of the go-to brands in Manchester when it comes to good quality Architecture and a well-run studio. They are the sort of practice you could call home easily for the next 10 years and during that time you would receive a good salary, be constantly stimulated, well looked-after and make friends for life.
This opportunity to join one of the finest practices in the region and to learn from an experienced and diverse mix of fellow industry professionals doesn’t come around very often. We are looking for an experienced Architect; someone with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience anywhere up to 10 or even 15 years post-qualification. We might even consider an Associate level candidate if they meet the criteria of the role. Ideally, this person would be interested in, or have experience working in the Leisure sector (leisure centres, sports facilities, health & wellbeing facilities, and various other project types, typically with a focus on community in the local area).
Within this busy practice, various sectors and project teams are supported in equal weight to manage an impressive, long pipeline of work that should keep the company busy way through into 2026/2027 and beyond. They like to work in REVIT primarily, but for a really good designer with good experience in one of the sectors mentioned, training can be offered.
There is home/flexible working available and all employees benefit from this relaxed approach.
We are hoping for the Architect to meet most of the following criteria:
- ARB/RIBA Qualification (2-10 years post-qualification experience preferred).
- Previous job-running experience.
- Excellent design & technical skills.
- Ability with AutoCAD & REVIT would be highly beneficial.
- Ability to manage your own time and prioritise workload.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a small team.
