An Architectural Technologist with at least 1-2 years post qualification experience is required to join a growing Architectural Design Practice based in Shipley, West Yorkshire. Our client, best known for their work in the Commercial and Residential development sectors, is looking for committed individuals to join the business and deliver outstanding tangible Architecture.

Due to sustained exponential growth and a robust future order book, an ambitious Architectural Technologist currently working at Junior-Intermediate level is required to join their talented design team where you will be immersed in challenging projects simultaneously.

About the Architectural Technologist role:

As part of a wider technical delivery team, the Architectural Technologist will support the delivery of both commercial and residential projects through planning, technical delivery stages, and then onsite to completion. Required is someone with good REVIT skills and an all-round technically sound knowledge of producing detailed drawing packages. Supporting the Directors, you will promote the highest standards of design and technical solutions with the use of client and the company's exceptionally high design standards.

The successful Architectural Technologist must have a detailed knowledge of all current Building Regulations and associated legislation along with a sound knowledge of all forms of construction. You must also be able to demonstrate some previous job running experience, be highly self-motivated, and have a minimum of 1-2 years Architectural practice experience.

Other duties of the Architectural Technologist include:

  • Produce working drawings for pricing and construction purposes from planning drawings/tender packages supplied by key clients.
  • Obtain Building Regulation approval with approved inspector.
  • Ensure Building Regulation conditions are discharged promptly.
  • Liaise with clients to enable discharge of planning conditions.
  • Liaise with all external consultants.
  • Liaise with site and address questions arising from work progressing on site.

To be considered, you must be able to demonstrate your previous experience with examples of work with an Architectural Technology degree or Technician HND and with a minimum of 1-2 years working in Architecture.

The Architectural Technologist will be offered a salary DOE in the region of between £26,500 - £32,500 per annum plus generous benefits. The position is office-based, located in an open plan studio overlooking the canal and surrounding countryside, with an early finish on a Friday.
