Hours: 7:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday

Main Purpose of the Role

As a Workshop Operative, you will work within a busy workshop environment to maintain, service and repair Conquip OEM equipment efficiently. You will be instrumental in upholding safety, quality and operational standards across our hire fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs, servicing and setup of Conquip OEM equipment, primarily non-mechanical plant and machinery
  • Undertake basic MIG welding tasks as required
  • Spray paint equipment when necessary
  • Complete computer-based tasks including certification and documentation
  • Follow daily work schedules set by your line manager
  • Operate counterbalance forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
  • Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment and sign off in accordance with LOLER regulations
  • Maintain a professional and courteous approach when liaising with colleagues and site personnel
  • Adopt a flexible attitude towards working hours when required
  • Support the wider team with additional tasks as needed

Essential Skills

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities

  • Welding Experience
  • Forklift experience (Can be Trained)
