Main Purpose of the Role
As a Workshop Operative, you will work within our busy workshop environment to maintain, service, and repair Conquip OEM equipment efficiently. You will play a key role in upholding safety, quality, and operational standards throughout our hire fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs, servicing, and setup of Conquip OEM equipment, primarily non-mechanical plant and machinery
- Undertake basic welding (MIG) tasks as required
- Spray paint equipment when necessary
- Complete computer-based tasks, including certification and documentation
- Follow daily work schedules set by the line manager
- Operate counterbalance forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
- Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment and sign off in accordance with LOLER regulations
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when liaising with colleagues and site personnel
- Adopt a flexible attitude towards working hours when required
- Support the wider team with additional tasks as needed
