Main Purpose of the Role
As a Professional Welder, you will be responsible for welding mild steel parts for process engineering and utility clients. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the efficient production of sheet, hollow section, and pipe products within tight deadlines. In this fast-paced environment, you will work with various thicknesses of metal, interpret engineering drawings, and deliver high-quality results while maintaining a safe working environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Weld sheet, hollow section, and pipe products for process engineering and utility clients.
- Work with different thicknesses of metal and ensure accuracy in your work.
- Interpret engineering drawings to guide your welding tasks.
- Operate forklift trucks and overhead cranes as needed (training can be given).
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
