Hours: 7:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday

Main Purpose of the Role

As a Workshop Operative, you will work within our busy workshop environment to maintain, service, and repair Conquip OEM equipment efficiently. You will play a key role in upholding safety, quality, and operational standards throughout our hire fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs, servicing, and setup of Conquip OEM equipment, primarily non‑mechanical plant and machinery
  • Undertake basic welding (MIG) tasks as required
  • Spray paint equipment when necessary
  • Complete computer‑based tasks, including certification and documentation
  • Follow daily work schedules set by the line manager
  • Operate counterbalance forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
  • Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment and sign off in accordance with LOLER regulations
  • Maintain a professional and courteous approach when liaising with colleagues and site personnel
  • Adopt a flexible attitude towards working hours when required
  • Support the wider team with additional tasks as needed
