Conquest is a private equity real estate firm with holdings in both Sydney, Australia and London, UK. With 21 years of experience delivering institutional real estate across three core sectors—Residential, Retail and Hotels—the firm is strategically positioned to capitalise on opportunities in both markets. Due to the exponential growth and diversification of our business, we are seeking a driven, autonomous and capable Development Manager (DM) to join our Development division!

Expectations of the role:

  • Conduct feasibility analysis and secure internal approvals.
  • Oversee town planning and regulatory approvals.
  • Appoint and manage consultant teams across disciplines.
  • Drive project delivery strategies, ensuring cost, time, and quality targets are met.
  • Navigate and negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and stakeholder agreements.
  • Manage project budgets, cost planning, claims and contractor payments.
  • Lead tender processes and negotiate D&C contracts.
  • Foster strong relationships with consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in residential and/or mixed use developments.
  • Tertiary qualification in urban design, planning, engineering, property development, property economics, construction, financial or client-side project management discipline or related industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, initiative, high level of organisation skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Experience in management of end to end life cycle of projects, from inception to delivery.
  • Experience in residential development and project marketing is favourable.
  • Highly skilled in feasibilities.
