Builtcom, a part of Conquest Group, is seeking an experienced and capable Maintenance Handyperson to join our team to work on our $1B+ portfolio!

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance, repairs, and minor construction work.
  • Repair fixtures, fittings, cabinetry, doors, skirting boards, plasterboard, and hardware.
  • Conduct painting, patching, silicone sealing, and finishing works.
  • Perform basic carpentry tasks as required.
  • Assist the construction team with defect inspections and rectification following practical completion.
  • Address minor defects prior to settlements or tenant occupancy.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors when specialist trades are required.
  • Assist construction supervisors with small works on active construction sites.
  • Install temporary protections, signage, barriers, and site amenities where required.
  • Support site setup and minor adjustments during construction phases.
  • Prepare properties for inspections, marketing, and handover.
  • Ensure display homes and completed properties remain in excellent condition.
  • Conduct minor landscaping touch-ups and exterior repairs if required.
  • Conduct regular inspections of completed properties and identify maintenance requirements.
  • Report repair issues, safety hazards, and improvement opportunities to the Construction Manager.
  • Maintain records of completed maintenance work.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Trade qualification in Carpentry or similar (preferred but not essential).
  • Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or carpenter.
  • Experience with residential developments.
  • Strong practical skills across multiple trades (carpentry, painting, patching, basic plumbing, etc.).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple locations.
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card).
  • Valid driver’s license.
