Conquer AI is hiring a Lead AI Engineer. We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front: hands-on technically, strong with clients, and comfortable shaping AI solutions from a blank sheet of paper.
You’ll work with enterprise clients to understand how their teams operate, identify where agentic AI can automate or augment workflows, and then help design and build the systems that make it happen. This is a role for someone who enjoys ambiguity, ownership, whiteboarding, technical design, and real delivery.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the technical delivery of AI systems for client workflows
- Working directly with clients to understand problems, processes, and constraints
- Designing agentic AI architectures across LLMs, data, APIs, workflows, and enterprise tools
- Building and guiding hands-on engineering work across Python, Node.js, TypeScript, RAG, agents, and integrations
- Helping clients move from “AI ideas” to working systems
- Contributing to Conquer AI’s own reusable product capability
- Supporting other engineers through technical direction and high standards
What we’re looking for:
- Strong software engineering background
- Experience leading technical delivery or owning complex engineering workstreams
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, workflow automation, or applied ML
- Strong backend capability, ideally with Python, Node.js, or TypeScript
- Ability to communicate clearly with senior clients
- Comfort operating in greenfield environments
- High standards, low ego, and strong ownership
