Software Engineer

Fully remote, global. Any time zone. Fluent English required.

Conquer AI deploys production-ready AI systems for FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Fortune 500 clients.

We're scaling fast.

Our AI agents need somewhere solid to run, and that's what you'll build.

The reality of this role

The model is only half the product.

Every AI system we ship sits on top of APIs, services and infrastructure that have to work when a client is watching.

If the platform is slow, brittle or hard to extend, it doesn't matter how good the model is underneath it.

You'll build both sides, frontend and backend, and connect them to the AI systems our clients depend on.

You'll ship features that hold up under real client load, not just in a staging environment.

  • What you'll own
  • Product features across our platform, frontend and backend
  • APIs and services that connect our AI systems into client environments
  • Code quality, performance and reliability on everything you ship
  • CI/CD pipelines and deployment for the features you build
  • Technical input into what the platform needs next

Who you are

  • Strong across the modern stack: Type Script, React or Next. js, Node. js or Python, Postgre SQL
  • Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure)
  • You've built and shipped production features, not just personal projects
  • You use AI coding tools well and know when to trust them and when not to
  • You care about the boring parts, testing, documentation, error handling, as much as the interesting parts
  • Fluent English, comfortable working async across a globally distributed team
  • Where you're coming from

Software Engineer or Full-Stack Engineer at a scale-up, tech company or Saa S platform.

You've shipped real features to real users.

Now you want to build the platform underneath a fast-scaling AI consultancy.

  • What we're offering
  • Real ownership of the platform our AI systems run on
  • Fully remote, work from anywhere, any time zone
  • Direct exposure to the infrastructure behind FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Fortune 500 deployments
  • Competitive package to include equity

If you'd rather build the thing everything else runs on, we should talk.

How to prepare for a job interview at Conquer AI

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Conquer AI uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
