We’re hiring engineers to build a production AI workflow system for a major UK business. This is not feature work. This is designing and shipping end-to-end AI systems that operate under real-world constraints. If you’ve built real AI systems in production, not just wrapped APIs, we should talk.
The Role
- You’ll be embedded in a fast-moving team building an agentic workflow system from scratch.
At a high level, we are:
- Ingesting high-volume, real-time data
- Enriching it using LLMs and internal services
- Orchestrating workflows across multiple systems
- Routing outputs through human approval and publishing layers
The core stack includes:
- n8n as the orchestration layer
- Slack as the primary interface (bot / Block Kit)
- WordPress as the CMS / system of record
- AWS (Bedrock, Lambda, Secrets Manager) underneath
This is a systems problem, not a single-service build. You’ll be responsible for both:
- Designing how the system works
- Building and shipping it into production
What You’ll Need
- Strong Python (core requirement)
- Experience building LLM-powered systems in production
- Hands-on RAG / retrieval pipelines (chunking, embeddings, retrieval logic)
- Solid AWS experience (Lambda, Secrets, infra patterns)
- Strong API / integration experience across messy systems
- Comfortable working with event-driven workflows and orchestration
Strong Signals
- You’ve built and owned end-to-end systems, not just components
- You understand failure modes, retries, and observability
- Experience with n8n, Temporal, or similar orchestration tools
- Experience integrating Slack (bots / Block Kit) or similar interfaces
- You’ve worked with vector databases / embedding pipelines
What Separates Great Candidates
- You’ve shipped AI systems that people actually use
- You think in systems, not endpoints
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast
- You take ownership and push things forward without being told
Details
- Location: London (3 days onsite)
- Contract: Immediate start
- Outside IR35
- 6-12 month engagement
- Multiple hires across mid → tech lead level.
