Job Summary
The LNG Terminal and Cargo Operator is responsible for managing commercial and operational activities across LNG terminals and cargo operations. The role supports optimization of send‑out schedules, ensures compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, coordinates vessel and terminal activities, and contributes to strategic initiatives that enhance portfolio value. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, effective stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Position Overview
Your responsibilities may include:
- Lead commercial operations for LNG regasification capacity across European terminals
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand LNG regasification capacity on a spot and term basis
- Negotiate, execute, and administer LNG regasification and capacity agreements
- Participate in LNG regasification capacity auctions and assess financial and operational implications
- Work with gas trading teams to optimize send‑out schedules and inventory to meet market and contractual requirements
- Support commissioning activities for LNG regasification terminals where the company participates as a foundation customer
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with terminal owners, foundation customers, and new terminal operators
- Support DES cargo operations across the Atlantic region, including delivery into contracted LNG regasification terminals
- Coordinate with internal teams, including trading, chartering, scheduling, cargo operations, and ship operations to ensure accurate and timely cargo delivery
- Develop and maintain relationships with terminal operators, port and ship agents, cargo surveyors, and other external stakeholders
- Monitor regulatory and market developments affecting LNG operations and ensure compliance with applicable rules and standards
- Support implementation of operational systems, including ETRM and scheduling tools, and contribute to system and process improvements
- Support review and assessment of commercial agreements, including MSA and MSPA documents, to ensure alignment with LNG cargo and regasification operations
- Develop consistent operational processes to support a large and complex LNG portfolio
Basic/Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent
- 10 or more years of experience in LNG cargo operations, LNG regasification terminal operations, scheduling, or related LNG value chain activities
Preferred:
- Experience supporting commercial operations across the LNG value chain
- Experience using operational and industry tools used in LNG operations
- Experience supporting digital transformation or system implementation projects in energy markets
- Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with commercial contract review and optimization
- Advanced level of knowledge of LNG regasification contracts and European gas market operations
- Knowledge of LNG‑to‑power operations and integrated energy solutions
- Analytical and economic modeling capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex and fast‑paced environments
- Takes ownership of actions and commitments, ensuring ethical and timely decisions
- Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
- Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
