Are you a commercially driven leader with deep IFS expertise and a passion for turning capability into sustainable growth? We're looking for a Head of Commercial to take ownership of the commercial function and play a key role in shaping engagement, position, and deliver value to clients.
This role is ideal for someone who combines hands-on IFS product and implementation knowledge with strong commercial acumen. Sitting at the intersection of sales and delivery, you'll ensure client engagements are credible, solution-led, and grounded in real-world experience—reducing reliance on consulting teams during the sales cycle.
You'll bring clarity, structure, and confidence to the commercial approach, driving revenue growth through stronger positioning, smarter engagement, and seamless alignment between selling and delivering.
Our partner is a leading IFS Gold Channel and Services Partner, delivering expert implementation, upgrades, and support services to a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, energy, utilities, construction, engineering, food and beverage, and service sectors.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop the sales team, setting targets and driving performance
- Own and execute commercial strategy to grow revenue and market share
- Oversee and support a strong sales pipeline, including key deals
- Guide end-to-end sales cycles from engagement to close
- Act as bridge between sales and delivery, ensuring alignment
- Leverage IFS expertise to shape and validate solutions
- Support and lead client discovery sessions and workshops
- Ensure accurate translation of client needs into deliverable solutions
- Oversee high-quality proposals, SOWs, and pricing strategies
- Ensure realistic scoping aligned with delivery capability
- Collaborate with delivery teams for smooth handovers
- Maintain accountability for profitable, achievable commitments
- Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Mentor junior team members in product and solution selling
- Proven success in enterprise/ERP sales, consistently achieving targets
- Strong IFS (ideally IFS Cloud) functional/solution experience
- Background as an IFS Functional Consultant with implementation experience
- Able to run full sales cycles independently
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder and C-level deals
- Skilled in scoping, solutioning, and estimating without heavy consulting reliance
- Strong commercial acumen (pricing, negotiation, margins)
- Works closely with delivery teams; understands implementation risks
- Track record in upselling and cross-selling
