We are looking for a Trade Support Analyst to join our London-based Trade Support Group. The Trade Support Group (TS) resides within Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group’s (CCL’s) Investment Resource Group (IRG) and is responsible for all aspects of post trade processing for client’s portfolios. Functions include matching trade allocations with CCL’s brokers using a central trade‐matching tool, sending trade allocations to the custodians via an electronic format, resolving trade break issues before settlement date, setting up and maintaining client settlement instructions, assisting in the onboarding of new clients and liaising with other teams on projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an operational team whose scope and importance continues to grow.

What You Will Do

  • Use leading technologies and systems to ensure smooth operation of the post-trade process, with a focus on equities.
  • Support the post-trade process from beginning to end, including trade matching, allocation, transmission, and settlement.
  • Interact with various brokers and custodians around the globe to facilitate trade settlement in over 60 different countries.
  • Assist with quarterly commission reporting and soft-dollar budgeting.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

What You Bring

  • You have a degree in Finance, Business or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of related working experience, preferably with an institutional money manager or in a similar environment.
  • Advanced computer skills with an emphasis on MS Excel as well as a demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly is critical.
  • Experience with Charles River’s Trade Order Management system is an asset.
  • Experience with the DTCC’s Central Trade Manager is an asset.
  • Experience with SWIFT messaging protocols is an asset.
  • You possess an analytical mindset and are able to deduce the root cause of issues and support peers to improve their problem solving and critical thinking during issue escalation.
  • You are committed to contributing and supporting a team of like‐minded individuals who are driven and have high standards.
  • You are a sharp, ambitious, and enthusiastic person who will seek to improve existing processes and help to implement creative solutions.
