Connolly is a British luxury house creating leather goods and ready-to-wear of quiet, enduring quality. From our home in Mayfair, we design and produce collections with some of the finest mills, tanneries and workshops in Britain and Europe. We are a small, close team, and every member plays a visible part in how the product reaches the customer.
The Role
We are looking for a Production Assistant to join our product team and support the development and delivery of our collections, from the sourcing of materials through to final delivery. You will work closely with the Head of Production and will suit someone highly organised, meticulous and comfortable managing several workstreams at once in a fast-moving environment.
What You Will Do
Production coordination
- Maintain seasonal production and development critical paths to ensure deadlines are met.
- Liaise with mills, factories and suppliers to manage production requirements and timelines.
- Coordinate packaging and trims production within the critical path.
- Manage product tech sheets and bills of materials across product categories.
Materials
- Support the Head of Production in placing orders for fabrics, trims, finishes and other garment components, and monitor stock levels.
- Check and log fabric deliveries, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
Quality
- Oversee the preparation and dispatch of bulk swatches, lab dips and samples for approval.
- Help monitor product quality throughout production to maintain our standards.
- Arrange repairs where appropriate, agreeing timelines and costs with suppliers and customers.
Samples
- Manage the sample archive, cataloguing and photographing samples from first prototype through to gold seal.
- Keep sample versions identifiable and accessible for press and shoots by logging locations in our internal systems.
- Coordinate sample production with international suppliers, including shipment and tracking of prototypes, and assist with shoot preparation where required.
Administration, merchandising and product data
- Prepare delivery notes, invoices and labels for finished products ahead of export and import.
- Organise production data and provide accurate reporting.
- Work with merchandising, production and buying to establish garment pricing from cost price.
- Maintain product information in the PLM system and help introduce new product management tools.
What We Are Looking For
- A strong understanding of fashion production, including sourcing and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage several priorities under tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of shipping within the EU with DHL, UPS and other carriers is preferred.
- Confidence with PLM and production tools such as Zedonk, Notion or Trello.
- Strong Excel and Adobe skills.
- Experience in luxury fashion or a comparable high-end environment is preferred.
- A proactive attitude and clear, warm communication.
The Package
- Salary of Β£30,000 per annum, paid monthly.
- 20 days' annual holiday plus the eight UK public holidays.
- 40 hours per week, 9.00 am to 5.30 pm, with four days at our production site in Richmond and one day working from home in coordination with the design team.
- Workplace pension through auto-enrolment.
- Three-month probationary period.
