We are looking for an experienced Electrical Storeman to join our growing team at Connolly Ltd. This role is key to ensuring the smooth delivery of electrical works across our projects within the Social Housing sector.
What you will be responsible for:
- Receive, check, and record deliveries of electrical materials and components.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and update inventory systems regularly.
- Ensure all electrical items are stored safely and in compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Organise tools and equipment for easy access and efficient workflow.
- Prepare and issue electrical materials to site teams as required.
- Track usage and return of tools and equipment.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage area.
- Liaise with procurement and site managers to forecast material needs.
- Support timely delivery of materials to work areas.
- Maintain records of stock movements, deliveries, and returns.
- Assist with audits and reporting as required.
- Foster collaboration with other teams to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to company policies and Connolly Ltd values.
What we’d like from you:
- Electrical background or NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience in a storeman or materials management role, ideally in electrical or construction environments.
- Valid CSCS card (if required for site access).
- Knowledge of electrical components and tools.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills for inventory systems and reporting.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Forklift Truck licence.
