Role Description
The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in St Andrews, responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive sales and relationship management. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and qualifying new leads, managing a pipeline of prospects, and converting enquiries into confirmed bookings. Creating bespoke travel proposals, maintaining strong relationships with high-net-worth clients and corporate partners. Central to the role is setting a performance standard by which our team of Tour Coordinators follow and are inspired by; providing a high level of knowledge, training and support. An important aspect of this role is developing the accuracy, knowledge, confidence, communication skills and productivity of the Sales Team. The Sales Manager will coordinate with our Operations Team to ensure seamless delivery of client itineraries, monitor sales performance, and provide regular reporting and forecasts. The Company is always looking for ways to streamline and improve processes, and as such this position will require a high level of knowledge in respect to sales and travel technology - and in many cases the ability to adapt off-the-shelf solutions to our exact requirements. The role requires active participation in industry networking conventions and a selection of other events to maintain Connoisseur Golf's position in the marketplace.
- 40 hrs/week including 1hr paid lunch break + seasonal overtime + 34 days paid holiday.

Qualifications
- Strong consultative sales, account management, and business development skills in a high-level service or luxury travel environment.
- Experience with CRM systems, sales pipeline management, and data-driven forecasting (a track record of implementing software and improving systems would be an advantage).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust with diverse client groups.
- Organisational and time-management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex itineraries.
- Comfort with on-site client meetings, networking events, and occasional travel.
- A high-level knowledge of golf, hospitality, and luxury tourism markets is essential. In particular, the leading championship courses around the UK and Ireland. Familiarity with the top 5* hotels.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or a related field is an advantage.
- Prior experience in sales or commercial roles. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and experience in managing and developing small office-based teams.
