About the Role
Connick Tree Consultancy operates as an independent arm of Connick Tree Care, providing clear, unbiased arboricultural advice. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an Arboricultural Consultant to join our team. Your work portfolio will be diverse matching your career progression. Projects are individually assigned from initial survey stage through to final report ensuring a diverse workload and wealth of experience. We support a wide variety of clients including local authorities, housing associations, architects and private individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- You will deliver a broad range of consultancy services, including:
- Visual Tree Assessments (VTA) for health and safety
- Decay detection using Sonic Tomography and Microdrill
- Veteran tree assessment and management planning
- Subsidence investigations and reporting
- Homeowner and pre-development surveys
- BS5837 surveys and report preparation
This role combines site work with technical reporting and requires clear, professional judgement. The position would suit either an experienced Consultant or an arborist looking to move into a more technical, consultancy-focused role as an Assistant Consultant.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ practical arboricultural experience
- LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection (PTI)
- HND, ABC Level 2 or higher in Arboriculture
- Strong IT skills (Word and Excel essential)
- Willingness to learn CAD, GIS and survey software
- Full UK driving licence
- Clear written and verbal communication
