Are you an experienced senior people leader ready to make an immediate impact? We're looking for an Interim People Operations & Resourcing Manager to join us at a pivotal moment in our transformation journey on a 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and lead operational people services within a fast-paced, customer-focused housing organisation.
Reporting to the Head of People, you will provide hands-on leadership across people operations and resourcing, working closely with People Business Partners, Advisors and specialist teams during a critical delivery phase.
This role is central to delivering a high-quality, compliant and forward-thinking people service, ensuring consistency, efficiency and continuous improvement across the organisation.
You will:
- Lead people operations - overseeing employee relations, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, and pay & benefits administration, ensuring compliance with employment law and internal frameworks.
- Drive employee relations excellence - providing senior oversight on complex ER cases and guiding managers to achieve fair, consistent and legally robust outcomes.
- Lead through change - acting as a visible leader to support organisational transformation and embed new ways of working aligned to the People Strategy.
About You
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and confidently operate in a changing environment. You will bring:
- Proven experience in a senior HR/People leadership role, ideally within housing or a regulated sector but not essential.
- Strong expertise across employee relations, resourcing, and operational HR delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- The ability to work at pace, influence senior stakeholders and deliver through change.
- You’ll be pragmatic, resilient and delivery-focused, with a collaborative, values-driven approach.
This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working which will be a combination of home working and working from our offices, with Head office at Craven Arms and travel to other offices as required.
