An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Younger Persons Training and Engagement Support Officer to join our team at our Younger Persons Service in Hereford to work with the young people in our accommodation-based service across a 7 day 9am-10pm team rota to provide a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 16-25. A big part of this role is around training and engagement so you should be able to build good working relationships with our young people. You will be confident in dealing with crisis situations as they arise, this may include liaising with other professionals or signposting to external agencies to fully support the young people. You will need to update and record information in a timely and accurate manner.

The hours are based on a 7-day Rota on shifts 9am to 5pm, 11am to 7pm or 2pm to 10pm.

This role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

About Connexus: Connexus is a community focused housing group which aims to deliver good quality homes and services across Shropshire and Herefordshire. You’ll be joining a team which provides a wide range of excellent support services including independent living for older people, providing specialist accommodation and services for younger people, and managing a refuge and other safe accommodation for those fleeing domestic abuse. Our teams also provide supported temporary accommodation for those aged 18-55 who have complex needs. Some roles involve providing help locally in the community, supporting and offering specialist advice and working with our partners to prevent homelessness.
