Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Northern Ireland, specialising in high-quality fabricated assemblies for a range of sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Fabricator with strong MIG/GMAW welding capability to join their production team.
Role Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating a range of assemblies from detailed fabrication and engineering drawings, ensuring high standards of quality, productivity, and safety. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to meet production targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate a variety of assemblies from fabrication and engineering drawings
- Perform MIG/GMAW welding to a high standard
- Interpret technical drawings accurately and work to precise specifications
- Carry out in-process and final quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
- Meet daily and weekly production targets while maximising efficiency
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and minimise rework
- Ensure full compliance with company health and safety policies
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve operational objectives
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in fabrication within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Proven experience with MIG/GMAW welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret detailed fabrication and engineering drawings
- Experience in fabricating a range of assembly types
- Strong understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures
- Ability to work to production schedules and meet targets
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
Visa & Language Requirements (International Applicants)
Must have, or be willing to obtain, UKVI IELTS Minimum score of 5.5 in each section (Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking)
