About the Role
Our client, a well-established UK meat processing company, is currently seeking experienced Cattle Slaughterers to join its skilled production team. This is a full-time role offering visa sponsorship transfer for individuals already residing in the UK under the Skilled Worker visa route.
Visa Eligibility
Visa sponsorship is available only for candidates currently in the UK on a Skilled Worker visa. Applicants must be willing and eligible to transfer their visa sponsorship to the new employer. Verifiable industry experience is required — applicants must provide references, certificates, or proof of work history.
Key Responsibilities
- Humanely and efficiently carry out cattle slaughtering duties in accordance with UK food safety and animal welfare standards
- Operate slaughter and stunning equipment in a safe, controlled, and hygienic manner
- Perform carcass preparation tasks, including hide removal and evisceration, with attention to accuracy and quality
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to hygiene, health & safety, and food processing regulations
- Work cooperatively within a fast-paced, chilled processing facility
- Report any irregularities, safety issues, or equipment faults to supervisors promptly
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Currently in the UK on a Skilled Worker visa and willing to transfer sponsorship
- Minimum 12 months’ hands-on experience in cattle slaughtering or red meat processing
- Skilled in handling knives and slaughter tools safely and efficiently
- Physically fit and able to work in cold, high-throughput environments

Desirable:
- Previous experience in a UK or EU-approved meat processing facility
