We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing company specialising in the design, installation, and servicing of refrigeration, air conditioning, and catering equipment across Northern Ireland. With a reputation for technical excellence, quality, and customer satisfaction, our client continues to expand their service team to meet increasing demand.
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Industrial Refrigeration Service Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance, commissioning, and repair of large-scale and industrial refrigeration systems across a range of commercial and industrial sites. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced refrigeration technologies and complex systems, with ongoing training and development provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and commission large refrigeration pack systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic control system issues.
- Work on blast chilling and freezing applications, packaged chillers, and large F-Gas systems.
- Conduct maintenance on a wide range of industrial and commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Support the commissioning of chilled water, glycol, and refrigeration-based heat recovery systems.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 6 yearsβ experience in industrial or large commercial refrigeration.
- Proven experience working on large pack systems, including commissioning.
- Strong electrical and electronic control system knowledge.
- F-Gas certification.
- Understanding of blast chill and freezing applications, and packaged chiller systems.
- Experience maintaining large F-Gas systems.
Desirable (Training Provided)
- Overhaul experience with industrial compressors.
- Experience with R744 systems (transcritical and booster).
- Experience with hydrocarbon chillers (e.g. R290).
- Ammonia refrigeration experience.
- Programming knowledge of BMS controls and HMI interfaces.
- Commissioning experience with large commercial heat pumps and refrigeration-based heat recovery systems.
