Accounts Technician Cookstown | Permanent | 2530 Hours Per Week | Salary Negotiable Connexus is recruiting an Accounts Technician on behalf of a growing business operating across self-storage and commercial property. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, experienced team at an exciting stage of its development, taking ownership of day-to-day financial operations across multiple business areas while helping improve processes and reporting as the business continues to expand. The Role Working from the company's Cookstown office, you will be responsible for a broad range of accounting and administrative duties across the business, including: Managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate purchase and sales ledgers. Overseeing customer billing, direct debits and rental invoicing. Monitoring outstanding payments, allocating receipts and dealing with customer and tenant queries. Completing daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts, including automated payment platforms. Preparing VAT returns, supporting trial balance preparation and assisting with management accounts. Supporting wages and salaries administration. Liaising with external accountants in relation to year-end accounts. Assisting with property-related transactions and monitoring associated costs. Supporting quality, compliance and general administration activities. Identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting, systems and processes as the business grows. What We're Looking For An appropriate accountancy qualification, alongside solid bookkeeping or accounts support experience. Good working knowledge ofSage 50. Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy. Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. A proactive approach, with the confidence to use your own initiative and make a positive contribution. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to adapt and contribute within a growing business where processes are continually being developed and improved. Experience within property management, commercial rental, hospitality or a multi-site retail environment would be beneficial, but is not essential. What's on Offer?
